Third generation: dedicated infrastructure
With the founding of AIRA, ZJULUG was re-established and opened mirror operations to more contributors. Supported by the Information Technology Center, the service moved from the cloud to dedicated infrastructure comprising three storage servers, two application servers, and a 10-gigabit network, with a renewed focus on performance and reliability.
2021–2024
Second generation: rebuild and cloud migration
ZJUSCT Falcon took over the service, rewrote both the frontend and backend, and introduced a control service for better visibility and scheduling of synchronization tasks. In early 2022, ZJU Mirror moved to the vSphere platform provided by the Information Technology Center. Its modern card-based interface and visual identity also took shape during this period. 2013–2020
First generation: community beginnings
The earliest ZJU mirror site relied on volunteer hardware support from university library staff, while ZJULUG maintained its content. The first-generation service gradually ended after its original members graduated.
